There are two extremes when it comes to awards. There’s Johnny Depp: “Awards are not as important to me as when I meet a 10-year-old kid who loves Capt. Jack Sparrow.” And there’s Kanye West: “If I don't win, the awards show loses credibility.”

We like to think the inaugural SOCstock Awards should fall somewhere between both of those perspectives.

Security operations professionals certainly derive great pleasure in helping to keep their organization or clients safe from digital destruction. But they also work very much behind the scenes, and their achievements and accomplishments are often overlooked (if nothing happens, that’s a good thing!). Which is why few infosec pros deserve industry-wide recognition quite like the SOC practitioner.

The 2021 SOCstock Awards are here to deliver that notoriety in the most far-out way possible, and we need your help! Nobody knows the stars of the SOC quite like their colleagues and managers, and we are asking that you nominate your favorites – and their exemplary efforts – in the below categories.
